There are 111 eggs in the the incubator at the Lighthouse Center for Natural Resource Education too.  My brood pen is built and my vacation plans are covered.&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Now, all I have to do is wait.  My eggs are scheduled to start to hatch some time in mid-April.  I'll be sure to keep everyone posted.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;The schools are also doing well and the students and teachers are excited. Put it near an edge of the woods or even in a field -- cover it with branches.  Don't bury it, just cover it.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This will give quail and other birds a place to get out of the snow and wind for the storm.  You don't need to have this all over the place but a few per acre would be a real safe haven for our feathered friends.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Another great idea, at the edge where the meadow meets the woods -- do some "hinge cuts" of your trees and let the branches hang down to the ground.  The object is to give a place for the birds to shelter from the storm without the fear of the snow/branch structure collapsing on them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How about it?
